Since the opening of the China-Laos Railway, customs authorities have actively promoted the construction of “Smart Customs,” applying “technology + informatization” to empower intelligent supervision. Equipped with advanced railway container inspection equipment, the scanning of a single-column train takes only one or two minutes. This has achieved the organic integration of national security and efficient customs clearance, playing a positive role in supporting the high-quality development of cross-border freight transportation on the China-Laos Railway.
Under the influence of the China-Laos Railway, Southeast Asian countries have continued to expand their imports of characteristic products such as fruits, iron ore, and rubber. Meanwhile, China’s machinery and electrical products, as well as new high-tech products, have entered Southeast Asian countries through the China-Laos Railway.
