On January 5, at the construction site of Chunshen Bridge, part of the Songjiang Bridge over the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High Speed Railway, the 2972-ton, 128-meter steel truss girder moved 44.5 meters and rotated 20 degrees counterclockwise in 516 minutes. Meng Fanhua, Commander and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Shanghai Railway Hub Engineering Construction Headquarters, introduced that the construction of the 128-meter steel truss girder required the completion of three main tasks: splicing, sliding, and placing. The successful completion of the mid-air rotation marked a breakthrough in the construction of the Songjiang Bridge section of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High Speed Railway.
The Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High Speed Railway is a high speed railway corridor connecting cities such as Shanghai, Suzhou, and Huzhou. After the project is completed and put into operation, it will further improve the layout of the regional railway network and effectively alleviate the transportation pressure on the Nanjingnan-Taicang High Speed Railway and Shanghai-Hangzhou High Speed Railway.
The Yangtze River Delta railway construction projects are extensive, covering a wide area. Currently, there are 35 ongoing projects, many of which have made significant progress and will play a crucial role in expanding the railway network and serving the regional economy.
Currently, the Yangtze River Delta has 25 high speed railway lines, and the coverage extends to all prefecture-level cities except Zhoushan in Zhejiang, making the region one of the most developed and well-established high speed railway networks in the country.
