Erenhot Railway Port is the largest land port on the Sino-Mongolian border and the sole entry and exit port for the CRE’s Central Route. Since the inaugural run of the first “Chengdu-Europe Express” train in 2013, the number of train routes has increased from the initial two to 70. These trains pass through 77 originating stations (destination stations) and 23 provinces within China, radiating to regions such as North China, Central China, and South China. Internationally, they traverse 12 countries and reach 72 foreign destinations or cities. The transported goods cover over ten thousand products, including mobile phones, computers, complete vehicles, and parts, electromechanical machinery and equipment, furniture, and building materials.
